Attend a City Council Meeting

The city council consists of the mayor and two council members from each ward. Below are helpful city council-related links:

  • Registration for the general public comment section (before the consent and regular agendas) is required for both in-person and remote comments. You will need to fill out the online form by 3 pm on the day of the meeting. If you need an accommodation, either due to a disability or struggling with the technology, you can call the city clerk’s office at 970-962-2000 (option #9) to register for public comment. The 3 pm registration deadline also applies to the call-in option.

  • It is recommended, but not required, that people also sign up in advance for regular agenda items using the online form. There will also be a paper sign-up form available in the city council chambers until roughly 5:58 pm (the day of the meeting). It will be on the table just to the left as you enter. If you have any questions, you can speak to the city clerk, who will be at a desk across the room, facing the doorway you entered from.
