My Priorities
Affordable Housing
When I first moved to Loveland in 2016, half
of my paycheck was going to my one-bedroom, basement-level apartment.
Today, it’s hard for so many, even the public servants essential to our society (such as teachers, nurses, and EMTs) struggle to afford to live here. We all deserve affordable housing in our city.
Supporting Small Businesses
My father was a small business owner and working for him was the first job I ever had. I know how essential small, local businesses are to a strong local economy.
I want to see local tax breaks going to help small businesses get their start and weather harsh economic times, not to large corporations.
Public Safety
I want to make sure our fire department has adequate staffing and our police officers receive training in identifying and supporting persons with dementia, autism, and those struggling with their mental health. I also want to expand the co-responder model started by the county.
Workers’ Rights
I believe that Lovelanders deserve good-paying jobs so they can live and work in the same city.
I also want to ensure that our city utilizes the best-value contracting method. I’ve seen what happens when you're forced to choose the lowest bidder while working for the state. I support best-value contracting because it’s safer and saves on maintenance costs down the road.
Strategic Homelessness Plan
For far too long, our city has only allowed for emergency shelters, a band-aid solution, which are set to close in September 2025.
There are studies and experts (nonprofits and faith-based organizations) that we can follow. I will advocate for solutions, not band aids, to make our community safer for all residents.
The People Should Decide What Our City Funds
It’s your tax money, you should decide how it’s spent. I am a strong supporter of
participatory budgeting and want to see our
city to adopt this practice.
“Participatory budgeting is a democratic
process in which community members decide how to spend part of a public budget. It gives people real power over real money.“ - Participatory Budgeting Project
Smart City Planning
We need more options to get around town, such as safe bike and walking routes to navigate our city and investments in our public transit system.
I support the 15-minute city model, where everything you need on a day-to-day basis (jobs, schools, grocery stores, healthcare, and leisure activities) is all within a 15-minute walk, bike, or public transit ride.
Library Funding
I believe that libraries are essential. I want to see the Loveland Public Library open back up to its original operating hours as soon as possible.
Libraries offer an essential place for all Loveland residents, from kids to seniors, to
learn and socialize.
A Thriving Downtown
Our city deserves a thriving downtown. I want to see a higher vacancy tax rate to encourage downtown property owners to get their vacant properties filled.
Filling vacant properties will help bring more visitors to our downtown, helping the existing small businesses and bringing tax revenue to our city’s general fund.
